Before there was PBR, there was RWB (Red, White & Blue Beer.) Vinepair calls it “the brewed equivalent of a White Castle slider: dirt cheap, somewhat satisfying, and American as it gets.” It was literally born on the 4th of July in 1899. It was the beer of choice for Milwaukee college kids at a dive bar that was famous for the “naked beer slide.” With a killer retro design, we’re wondering why this doesn’t still exist in our lives. (In this case, wondering is pronounced “begging.”) So we’re putting this out to the universe. We’ll help bring this brand back. Make it an LTO for the 4th of July, one of the biggest beer-selling holidays of the year. Make it available for the Summer Olympics. Heck, let’s start a petition to make the naked beer slide an Olympic sport. Together, maybe we can bring this once-storied beer back. Who’s with us? Let’s gooooo!Ahem.
